Rapture Fitness - The Home of CrossFit Inner West was established by us, Alanna and Simon McDowell in 2018.
With a combined passion and drive to live a healthy, balanced lifestyle, we cut a path to our dreams by opening the first independent, dynamic and social gym for like-minded people.
From a grass roots, park based boot-camp to our previous location in Leichhardt we embody and strive for that Inner West attitude of inclusivity and community. RF CrossFit is a safe space where expressing your authentic self is encouraged…We also love high fives, mutual respect, team spirit and a cheeky beer.
Recently, we upgraded to new and exciting premises at 51 Justin St, Lilyfield. With the support of our friends we have successfully transformed the space into a gym-tactic slice of heaven, full of potential.
Running events and getting involved is one of our specialties. From mud runs to table tennis nights were in it for the fun, fitness and friends. We are here for you and you are here to sweat!

WHat we do…
We offer daily classes from Monday through Saturday. See our timetable for WOD’s, Strength, Bubs and Barbells, Olympic Lifting, Comp Prep and Open Gym sessions.
GYMNASTICS & CALlISTHENICS
Our programming incorporates body-weight resistance motion. This form of multi joint, compound movement training produces impressive strength gains without requiring an external load. Utilising boxes, the floor, rings, pull-up bars, climbing ropes, and other equipment, we cover air squats, push-ups, pull-ups, burpees, handstands, planks, lunges etc. Gymnastics assists in the development of many of the 10 components of fitness we like to observe: accuracy, agility, balance, coordination, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, power, speed, strength, and stamina.
OLYMPIC LIFTING
Olympic lifts are blended into our daily strength and WOD practice. “Snatch”, “Clean & Jerk” and multiple variations of these require a combination of strength, speed, power, coordination and importantly technique. A training method to enhance athletic performance.
HIIT & AEROBIC CONDITIONING
Conditioning is essential for any sport and refers to exercises that increase the storage and release of energy during a workout. Short, high-intensity exercises and longer endurance style routines improve the body’s anaerobic and aerobic capabilities.
